About The Position

Requirements

• A true passion for caring for the elderly.
• Reliability.
• High school graduation or a GED certificate is preferred.
• For the PCA position: six months of experience as a Personal Care Assistant in healthcare, in homes or facilities.
• For the CNA position: successful completion of a state-approved Nurse Aide course.
• Current CPR certificate and TB test.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job.
• Valid driver’s license and use of an insured automobile or access to adequate transportation for the job.
• Strong communication skills and a strong sense of awareness.

Nice To Haves

• High school graduate or GED certificate.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and related paraprofessional services in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Provide for the client’s personal needs and comfort in the home.
• Assist with the client’s daily activities.
• Communicate effectively with the client and family members.
• Provide hands-on care, including bathing, dressing, and basic activities of daily living, upon request.
• Turn or reposition bedridden clients.
• Observe the client’s day-to-day physical and mental health and report even slight changes.
