About The Position

Right at Home is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) in Greensboro to provide in-home care for a 93-year-old female client with a history of two small brain strokes, diabetes, a heart condition, and dementia. The client has severe short-term memory loss and needs frequent reminders for most activities. The caregiver provides personal care and related paraprofessional services according to an established plan of care, helping meet the client’s personal needs and comfort at home. Duties include assisting with daily activities and, upon request, providing hands-on care such as bathing, dressing, and other basic activities of daily living. The caregiver may also turn or reposition a bedridden client, observe changes in the client’s physical and mental health, and report even slight changes. Strong communication and awareness are important when working with the client and family members. The position is part-time, with a standard shift of 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Competitive pay and a sign-on bonus are offered.

Requirements

A true passion for caring for the elderly.
Reliability.
High school graduation or a GED certificate is preferred.
For the PCA position: six months of experience as a Personal Care Assistant in healthcare, in homes or facilities.
For the CNA position: successful completion of a state-approved Nurse Aide course.
Current CPR certificate and TB test.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job.
Valid driver’s license and use of an insured automobile or access to adequate transportation for the job.
Strong communication skills and a strong sense of awareness.
