About The Position

BrightStar Care of Midtown Raleigh is hiring experienced, compassionate CNAs and PCAs for per diem/PRN openings in Raleigh and surrounding areas. Caregivers provide personalized companion and personal care to clients in their homes, helping them remain safe and comfortable. The position requires dependable attendance, professionalism, and compliance with each client’s plan of care and agency policies. Employment offers are contingent on passing a background check and drug screen.

Requirements

• Positive attitude, professionalism, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Active North Carolina CNA license, or proof of work experience for PCA applicants.
• Current TB test.
• Current CPR certification.
• Completion of all state-mandated training requirements.
• Valid North Carolina driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to transport clients.
• Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
• Pass a background check and drug screen as a condition of employment.

Nice To Haves

• Hoyer lift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide companion care and personal care assistance to clients in their homes.
• Follow and complete tasks outlined in the client’s plan of care.
• Accurately document care provided, time, and attendance.
• Promptly communicate client changes or concerns to the Director of Nursing.
• Maintain a safe environment while following agency policies and procedures.
• Respond appropriately and professionally in emergency situations.
• Safely and properly use caregiving equipment, including Hoyer lifts.
• Maintain reliable attendance and arrive for shifts on time.
• Submit shift availability at least two weeks in advance.
• Assist with client transportation as needed.
