About The Position

BrightStar Care of Midtown Raleigh is hiring experienced and compassionate CNAs and PCAs for home-care openings in the Durham area. Caregivers provide personalized companion and personal care to help clients remain safe and comfortable in their homes. The position offers per-diem scheduling based on availability, with 30–40 hours available for qualified caregivers. Employment offers are contingent on passing a background check and drug screen.

Requirements

• Positive attitude, professionalism, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Active North Carolina CNA license, or proof of work experience for PCA applicants.
• Current TB test.
• Current CPR certification.
• Completion of all state-mandated training requirements.
• Valid North Carolina driver's license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to transport clients.
• Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
• Pass a background check and drug screen as a condition of an employment offer.

Nice To Haves

• Hoyer lift experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide companion care and personal care assistance to clients in their homes.
• Follow and complete tasks outlined in each client's plan of care.
• Accurately document care provided, time, and attendance.
• Promptly communicate client changes or concerns to the Director of Nursing.
• Maintain a safe environment and follow agency policies and procedures.
• Respond appropriately and professionally in emergency situations.
• Use caregiving equipment safely and properly, including Hoyer lifts.
• Maintain reliable attendance and arrive for shifts on time.
• Submit shift availability at least two weeks in advance.
• Assist with client transportation as needed.
