About The Position

BrightStar Care of Midtown Raleigh is hiring experienced, compassionate CNAs and PCAs for immediate openings as bilingual Spanish/English aides serving clients in the Durham area. Caregivers provide personalized companion and personal care in clients’ homes to help them remain safe and comfortable. Candidates must meet the stated job requirements. All offers of employment are contingent on passing a background and drug screen.

The position offers per diem/PRN scheduling based on caregiver availability, with 30–40 hours available for qualified caregivers. Requirements

• Positive attitude, professionalism, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Active North Carolina CNA license, or proof of work experience for PCA applicants.
• Current TB test.
• Current CPR certification.
• Completion of all state-mandated training requirements.
• Valid North Carolina driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to transport clients.
• Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
• Pass a background and drug screen as a condition of any employment offer.
• Bilingual Spanish/English ability.

Nice To Haves

• Hoyer lift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide companion care and personal care assistance to clients in their homes.
• Follow and complete tasks outlined in each client’s plan of care.
• Accurately document care provided, time, and attendance.
• Promptly communicate client changes or concerns to the Director of Nursing.
• Maintain a safe environment while following agency policies and procedures.
• Respond appropriately and professionally in emergency situations.
• Use caregiving equipment safely and properly, including Hoyer lifts.
• Maintain reliable attendance and arrive on time for shifts.
• Submit shift availability at least two weeks in advance.
• Assist with client transportation as needed.
