Patient Transporter Jobs

Saint Luke’s East is seeking a part-time Patient Transporter to join their team. The Service Associate functions as a Patient Transporter, moving patients via wheelchair or car throughout the hospital for various reasons, utilizing manual or computerized job assignments. This role requires adherence to infection prevention techniques, safe patient transfer methods, and knowledge of appropriate routes to ensure efficient and safe patient movement. Effective communication with nursing clinical staff is essential, as is recognizing when to seek assistance. The transporter will also be responsible for maintaining the integrity of patients' tubes, lines, and collection devices, as well as moving patient valuables and equipment.
