Patient Transporter - PACU (Variable Shifts) FT
About The Position
The Patient Transporter is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting patients throughout the hospital. The role performs selected patient care activities as assigned and makes decisions independently and in collaboration with registered nurses (RNs) and/or respiratory therapists (RTs). The Transporter enters relevant transfer information into Meditech and/or paper-based charting as directed. The position also stocks or gathers materials and supplies for nursing units from central supply and the blood bank as assigned. It involves direct patient contact, access to confidential patient information, and collaboration with a variety of disciplines. This is a full-time position with variable shifts in the PACU at Adena Health’s Chillicothe main campus.
