About The Position

The Patient Transporter is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting patients throughout the hospital. The role performs selected patient care activities as assigned and makes decisions independently and in collaboration with registered nurses (RNs) and/or respiratory therapists (RTs). The Transporter records pertinent transfer information in Meditech and/or paper-based charting as directed. The role also involves stocking or gathering materials and supplies for nursing units from central supply and the blood bank as assigned. The position includes direct patient contact, access to confidential patient information, and collaboration with a variety of disciplines. This is a full-time role with variable shifts in the PACU at Adena Health’s Chillicothe main campus.
