About The Position
This role involves collaborating closely with seasoned attorneys who specialize in Workers' Compensation law, providing you with invaluable experience to propel your career forward. Your duties will encompass aiding in case preparations, overseeing client correspondence, and conducting thorough legal research to ensure favorable outcomes for clients. This position offers the chance to become part of a respected organization and effect meaningful change in the legal landscape and the lives of individuals in our community. Please note that this is a full-time, on-site position with a 37.5-hour work week.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of PC applications, Windows, and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional phone etiquette and comfortable speaking on the phone
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask
Nice To Haves
- Workers’ Compensation experience preferred
- Paralegal experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Electronic filing of claims and appeals
- Handle correspondence with claimants, medical offices, and agencies
- Extensive phone contact with agencies, clients, medical providers, and insurance companies
- Review incoming mail
- Prepare a case for hearings
- Assist attorneys with post-hearing follow-up
- Other duties as assigned
