About The Position

The Cedars-Sinai Hand Therapy Clinic works closely with hand surgeons to provide excellent and innovative care to patients with hand injuries. The clinic specializes in the treatment of chronic, repetitive stress injuries and trauma, as well as highly specialized post-operative cases. It is a fast-paced environment that requires the ability to work independently. As a 12-hour, part-time Occupational Therapist, you will primarily complete evaluations, splinting, and provide appropriate treatment interventions per policy for patients throughout the lifespan. You will also be responsible for completing required documentation accurately and thoroughly within expected timeframes, utilizing validated and standardized outcome measures to establish goals, demonstrating progress and patient rehabilitation prognosis, and demonstrating effective communication skills with patients, families, and the care team.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Occupational Therapist License- Upon Hire
  • Basic Life Support- Upon Hire
  • Must be competent by virtue of training and/or experience to perform evaluations, design and implement treatment plans and provide education in a manner appropriate to the age of the patient
  • Experience and/or knowledge of assessment and intervention techniques in a medical and physical disabilities setting

Nice To Haves

  • Masters Preferred
  • Doctorate Degree
  • OT Board of California PAMs (Physical Agents Modalities) advance practice
  • CHT (Certified Hand Therapist)
  • Hand therapy experience

Responsibilities
