About The Position
The Equipment Operator is responsible for the care and maintenance of the golf course and its surroundings. The role includes operating equipment safely, completing daily course-maintenance tasks, mowing course areas after training, maintaining equipment, and supporting landscaping and special projects. Team members are expected to provide excellent guest service to members, guests, other team members, and vendors, following established Hospitality Standards so everyone feels welcome and has a positive experience.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Valid Tennessee driver's license.
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds at a time, and more with assistance.
Responsibilities
- Operate equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
- Perform daily maintenance, including changing cups, repairing divots, and moving tee markers.
- Mow greens, tees, fairways, and rough after completing training.
- Mechanically rake and/or hand rake bunkers.
- Operate small equipment, including sod cutters, string trimmers, and hedge trimmers.
- Assist with special projects such as drainage, irrigation, and sod laying.
- Clean, plant, and maintain landscaped areas.
- Perform daily equipment maintenance, including checking or adding fluids, oil, hydraulic oil, and coolant, checking tire pressure, and cleaning equipment.
- Report equipment problems to the equipment mechanic.
- Report irregularities in course turf quality.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Follow company Hospitality Standards and provide excellent guest service to members, guests, team members, and vendors.
