About The Position

The Shipping/Receiving & Inventory Control Operator is responsible for accurately receiving, storing, moving, and shipping materials while keeping system inventory aligned with physical inventory. The role maintains inventory accuracy and traceability through scanning, verification, documentation, and cycle-counting processes. The position works in a warehouse and freezer environment at -10°F. The schedule is second shift, 3:00 PM–12:20 AM, and the role reports to the Warehouse Supervisor. The listed pay rate is $20.00 per hour.

Requirements

Warehouse or inventory control experience.
RF scanner experience and computer entry skills.
Forklift experience.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work in freezer conditions and perform frequent physical movement.

Responsibilities

Maintain alignment between physical inventory and system records.
Perform cycle counts as needed and support full physical inventories.
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly, escalating unresolved discrepancies.
Record all material movements using RF scanners and validate item, quantity, lot code, expiration date, and location during transactions.
Verify inbound shipments against purchase orders and perform three-way verification among the purchase order, physical materials, and system records.
Receive materials using RF scanning, apply and verify labels, and report shortages or damages.
Verify outbound shipments against pick lists, ensure 100% scan compliance, follow FIFO/FEFO rotation, and prevent incorrect shipments.
Operate a forklift safely; move products using RF scanners; maintain location control; and stage materials accurately.
Maintain clean and organized storage areas and comply with FIFO/FEFO standards, GMP, and safety procedures.
Report food safety or quality issues.
Complete system transactions and logs accurately, maintain shipment documentation, and ensure real-time system updates.
Meet performance expectations for at least 99% inventory accuracy, 100% scan compliance, timely cycle counts, and zero unreported variances.
