About The Position

Essity is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to support a fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment with a focus on safety, fulfillment, and customer service. The role works with raw materials, finished goods, production supplies, waste, and recycled materials, and includes operating and maintaining forklifts and other logistics handling equipment. The operator will also learn to run and troubleshoot automated gantry, storage, unitizer, and palletizer equipment. The role works rotating eight-hour southern swing shifts; overtime pay and double time apply as described in the posting.

Requirements

• High school equivalency diploma (HSED) or diploma.
• At least one year of demonstrated safe forklift experience using pallet fork and clamp functions.

Nice To Haves

• Previous machine operator experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow Essity safety standards and take responsibility for the safety of others.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished goods, visually checking for damage, quantity, and description.
• Block damaged raw materials or materials that vary in quantity or description.
• Prepare raw materials and finished goods for production lines.
• Remove production waste and return blocked raw materials and finished goods.
• Organize and prepare outbound loads.
• Store and allocate raw materials, returns, blocked items, waste, finished goods, and recycled materials using the correct location codes.
• Complete required documentation and data files during unloading, storage, removal, and cycle counts.
• Operate and maintain forklifts and other logistics handling equipment.
• Learn to operate and troubleshoot automated gantry, storage, unitizer, and palletizer equipment.
• Maintain housekeeping in the warehouse and waste baler area.
