Autonomous Operations Specialist, Equipment Operator

Pronto•Dallas, TX
•$66,000 - $78,000•Remote

About The Position

Pronto AI is seeking an entrepreneurial Test Operator to help develop and roll out autonomous technologies for mining and quarrying. This is not a standard driving position; operators work as part of a fast-moving technology team testing production-ready autonomy in demanding field environments. The role is remote, but requires travel to customer deployments and field sites across the United States. Candidates must be based in Arizona, Florida, Texas, or Wyoming. The operator serves as a safety driver in autonomous off-road haul trucks, works with engineering teams to test technologies and provide feedback, and may operate other heavy equipment as needed. The role also supports development and testing of autonomous technologies, safety protocols, inspections, light maintenance, and operating records. The base salary range is $66,000–$78,000 per year, varying by location and individual qualifications. Equity awards and an annual performance-based bonus may also be available.
