Autonomous Vehicle Operator
About The Position
Royalty Staffing is hiring Autonomous Vehicle Operators in San Francisco for a growing ride-share company. Operators will support vehicle and personnel operations and contribute to the operational work involved in autonomous mobility. The role includes driving vehicles, completing basic software tasks, supporting missions in and out of vehicles, providing feedback to engineering teams, and assisting with vehicle maintenance and logistics. The position is onsite and field-based, pays $29.00 per hour, and is an ongoing contract assignment. Multiple schedules are available, including day, night, and graveyard shifts, with Wednesday–Sunday, Thursday–Monday, Friday–Tuesday, or Saturday–Wednesday workweeks. Weekend shifts and night shifts starting after 3 p.m. receive additional hourly pay: 5% for weekend day shifts and 10% for weekend night shifts.
Requirements
- Basic vehicle knowledge to perform vehicle checks.
- Ability to drive for long durations, including 6 hours in a car per day.
- Intermediate understanding of technology.
- Ability to pass a motor vehicle check with a clean record for the previous 3 years.
- Ability to pass a typing test with a score of 45 WPM.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive mindset and resourcefulness.

Responsibilities
- Support vehicle operations.
- Drive 4–8 hours per day, prioritizing safety.
- Conduct basic software operation tasks.
- Support missions through a variety of roles in and out of vehicles.
- Assist with documentation and metrics.
- Provide accurate written and oral feedback to engineering teams.
- Support vehicle maintenance and logistics.
- Conduct daily basic vehicle preventative maintenance checks, services, and repairs.
- Provide logistical support for the movement and storage of vehicles and equipment.
- Ensure vehicles, equipment, and the workplace are ready and clean.
- Assist with paperwork and documentation related to vehicle readiness.
