Autonomous Vehicle Operator (MiCa)

Circuit•Boca Raton, FL
•Onsite

About The Position

Circuit is seeking tech-forward pioneers to help launch and scale MiCa, its Level 4 autonomous shuttle. The Autonomous Vehicle Operator is the human-in-the-loop pilot responsible for monitoring the self-driving shuttle, managing system alerts, and helping riders feel safe and welcome. MiCa operates on a fixed loop inside Mizner Park, stopping at five designated locations. It uses autonomous driving technology supported by Guident’s GuideOn Remote Monitor and Control Center, which provides live human oversight, real-time safety monitoring, and remote passenger assistance when needed. The operator performs vehicle startups, software initialization, and system checks; monitors real-time data and pedestrian activity; and uses a handheld controller interface to navigate challenging situations. The role also includes explaining autonomous technology to riders, completing training in remote monitoring systems and low-latency software, and maintaining vehicle readiness by charging the shuttle, cleaning sensors, and keeping the cabin pristine. Selection is competitive and performance-based. Applicants who pass initial screening are invited to a paid evaluation involving a driving simulation, controller-based intervention scenarios, and public interaction exercises. Top performers move to active scheduling, while qualified peers may join a Certified Reserve Pool for future expansion or backfill. The position supports operations between 10:00 AM and 10:00 PM, with four-hour shifts.
