Hose Fabrication Operator - 3rd shift

About The Position
Operate manufacturing equipment to create hose and fitting assemblies, and test and inspect finished products. The role performs hose assembly in a Work Center team environment, follows standard work processes, and supports company initiatives such as LEAN manufacturing and 5-S. The position reports directly to the Value Stream Manager and works with other departments to resolve process and equipment issues. It is a third-shift role that requires flexibility for short-notice overtime as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Demonstrated knowledge of hose product assembly, standard work, and equipment operation and setup.
- Good math and measuring skills, including the ability to convert fractions and decimals.
- Strong interpersonal, team-building, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Must pass pre-employment screening.
Responsibilities
- Assemble hoses and follow standard work processes in a Work Center team environment.
- Operate and set up manufacturing equipment and saws.
- Perform daily maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
- Conduct in-process inspections and enter work-order data into the router.
- Account for and properly dispose of scrap.
- Communicate workflow problems and equipment needs to the Team Lead and/or Supervisor.
- Support corporate initiatives, including LEAN.
- Work safely in accordance with applicable regulations, standards, and procedures, and notify leadership of unsafe conditions, unlawful activities, or unreasonable health and environmental risks.
- Immediately report safety and environmental incidents to leadership.
- Participate in peer-based teams and help initiate and implement programs such as Lean Manufacturing and 5-S.
- Work overtime as deemed necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
