The essential duties of this position are to be responsible for Safety, Quality, Production numbers, overall efficiency of plant operations, also completing all quality checks and paperwork in a timely fashion. Must be able to prepare, operate, and maintain production machinery to manufacture concrete retaining wall products. This position also requires employee to operate forklift on a regular basis and assist with the loading and packaging of products onto pallets to be wrapped and placed into inventory on an as needed basis. Mon-Thurs. 10-hour shifts, with overtime on Friday's dependent on meeting weekly cycle goal or maintenance needed. 2nd shift: 3pm-1:30am
Requirements
- Prior equipment operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Must be safety oriented, and willing to follow safety processes and regulations.
- Must be detail and quality oriented with the ability to use measuring instruments to perform basic quality checks.
- Must possess mechanical aptitude and be able to identify and troubleshoot basic mechanical problems and irregularities.
- Ability to work independently, but also in a group setting where teamwork and collaboration is key.
- This position requires a lot of bending, twisting, and reaching while standing.
- Must be able to work quickly, while standing, in an extremely fast paced environment.
- Physical capacity to lift up to 80 pounds on a regular basis.
- Willing and able to work day or night shifts, overtime, at times 6 day weeks during the busy season, and adaptable to changing work hours.
- Willing to work in both indoor and outdoor conditions.
Nice To Haves
- Previous forklift experience/ certification is a plus.
Responsibilities
