About The Position

Arcosa Crushed Concrete is hiring a Loader/Excavator Operator to safely operate a rubber tire loader and support plant operations, material handling, equipment maintenance, and site housekeeping. The operator works regularly with a field supervisor and follows applicable safety procedures. The role involves working outdoors in all weather conditions and in dusty, noisy environments, with regular climbing and lifting requirements.

Requirements

Some experience is required.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work in all weather conditions.
Ability to climb heights of 20 feet on a regular basis.
Ability to lift, carry, and/or pull 100 pounds on a regular basis.
Ability to work in a dusty, loud-noise environment.
Must wear required safety equipment, including a hard hat, safety glasses, goggles, steel-toed boots, ear plugs, respirator, gloves, and similar items as required.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a rubber tire loader with competency and caution and adhere to safety procedures and requirements.
Feed the plant; load trucks; stockpile materials; push up stockpiles; and maintain clean yards and roadways.
Communicate regularly and continuously with the field supervisor about assigned work and specific instructions.
Use hand tools, including wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, and sledge hammers, to complete daily tasks and maintain or repair equipment.
Perform scheduled maintenance on assigned equipment, including oil and filter changes and other equipment or motor repairs as necessary; notify the supervisor of deficiencies or needed repairs.
Inspect equipment and maintain a written log of equipment-related deficiencies.
Maintain worksite housekeeping, including picking up trash, keeping tools in order, and properly storing equipment at the end of the workday.
Perform other duties as assigned or required.
