About The Position
We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to meet with multiple patients each day, discuss their treatment needs and goals, and develop customized, comprehensive therapy plans. The role works closely with doctors and other members of patients’ health teams to arrange follow-up care, educate patients about lifestyle changes, and provide a positive, affirming presence. The ideal candidate is compassionate, communicates and interacts effectively, and is comfortable managing multiple cases.
Requirements
- Hold the required state license for occupational therapy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to remain positive and compassionate while working with patients over a long period of time.
Responsibilities
- Meet with patients from varied backgrounds and compassionately discuss their health concerns and therapy needs.
- Conduct evaluations to determine a starting point for each patient.
- Create an individualized therapy plan to help each patient meet mobility goals.
- Work with other members of each patient’s care team to provide appropriate follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate records of patient therapy and progress.
