About The Position

Requirements

• Successfully complete and pass testing for a State-approved Nurse Assistant Training program.
• Maintain current certification in good standing through the Michigan Nursing Assistant Registry.
• Have working knowledge of state and federal healthcare regulations.
• Demonstrate strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Be able to carry out assignments independently and accurately.
• Demonstrate sound judgment, integrity, and professionalism.
• Show sensitivity to residents’ needs, preferences, and abilities.
• Commit to compassionate, person-centered customer service.
• Be able to meet the physical demands of the position, including lifting and transferring residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, hands-on care to residents in accordance with individualized care plans.
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ physical and emotional condition.
• Assist residents with mobility and transfers using approved techniques and equipment, including gait belts and mechanical lifts.
• Support residents with daily living activities while preserving dignity, comfort, and independence.
• Respond promptly to call lights and resident requests.
• Promote a positive, respectful environment for residents, families, and team members.
