About The Position

BAYADA is recruiting a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for its Assistive Care Division to serve patients in Durham, Chapel Hill, and surrounding areas. Following a written plan of care from a registered nurse, the CNA provides personal care, household support, and companion care to help adults remain safe and independent at home. The role involves one-on-one support and building close relationships with clients while delivering compassionate, reliable care. The position is advertised for weekend PRN work at $18 per hour. BAYADA offers training, 24/7 clinical support, weekly pay, flexible scheduling, and access to a care team. PTO and benefits are available as eligible, along with ongoing training and scholarship support for career advancement.

Requirements

At least one year of work experience.
Successful completion of a recognized CNA training course and certification to work as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Ability to travel to clients’ homes as assigned.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care, household support, and companion care according to a written plan of care from a registered nurse.
Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, toileting, and nail care.
Provide light housekeeping, laundry, and bed-making assistance.
Prepare meals and assist with feeding.
Assist with range-of-motion activities and exercises.
Assist with ambulation, transfers, and use of mechanical lifting devices.
Provide medication reminders.
Check vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and respiration.
Travel to clients’ homes as assigned.
