About The Position

BAYADA is recruiting a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for its Assistive Care Division to serve patients in Durham, Chapel Hill, and surrounding areas. Following a written plan of care from a registered nurse, the CNA provides personal care, household support, and companion care to help adults remain safe and independent at home. The role involves one-on-one client care and building close relationships while supporting activities of daily living and other needs. This is a weekend PRN home health role. BAYADA describes its Assistive Care team as offering training, flexibility, clinical support, and a larger care team. Requirements

At least one year of work experience.
Successful completion of a recognized CNA training course.
Certification to work as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Passion for caregiving and private home care, and a desire to help others.
Commitment to being present and providing quality care.
Empathy, patience, kindness, and respect.
Ability to travel to clients’ homes as assigned.

Responsibilities

Provide care according to a written plan of care from a registered nurse.
Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, toileting, and nail care.
Provide household support, including light housekeeping, laundry, and bed making.
Prepare meals and assist with feeding.
Assist clients with range-of-motion activities and exercises.
Assist with ambulation and transfers, including use of mechanical lifting devices.
Provide medication reminders.
Check vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and respiration.
Travel to clients’ homes as assigned.
Provide compassionate, excellent, and reliable patient care.
