About The Position

Requirements

• Doctorate degree in Nursing conferred by the date of hire.
• Unencumbered RN license in the state of Louisiana.
• Two years of clinical experience as an RN.
• Commitment to working with diversity.
• Proficient computer skills, including word processing, presentation software, and spreadsheets.
• Effective interpersonal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Prior teaching experience.
• APRN Certification.

Responsibilities

• Teach at the undergraduate and/or graduate level as needed.
• Use teaching activities that encourage interaction with students, faculty, the university, and/or the community and support student success and learning in classroom and clinical settings.
• Engage in continuous professional development and scholarly activities such as research, publishing, and presenting.
• Serve the University through committee work and participation in special projects and activities.
• Provide students with academic and career guidance and participate in and support student activities.
• Serve the community through activities that use professional knowledge and expertise.
