About The Position

Southeastern Louisiana University's School of Nursing is seeking a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor of Nursing to begin Spring 2027. The position teaches at the undergraduate and/or graduate level as needed. Teaching should encourage interaction with students, faculty, the university, and/or the community, and support student success and learning in classroom and clinical settings.

The successful candidate is expected to pursue continuous professional development and scholarly activities, including research, publishing, and presenting. The role also involves service to the University through committee work and special projects; service to students through academic and career guidance and support of student activities; and service to the community using professional knowledge and expertise.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree in Nursing conferred by the date of hire.
• Unencumbered RN license in the state of Louisiana.
• Two years of clinical experience as an RN.
• Commitment to working with diversity.
• Proficient computer skills, including word processing, presentation software, and spreadsheets.
• Effective interpersonal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Prior teaching experience.
• APRN Certification.
