About The Position
As a member of the health care team, the Certified Nursing Assistant provides basic nursing care to patients under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team or unit. The role assists patients with activities of daily living and helps promote a safe, comfortable environment that supports patients’ physiological and psychosocial well-being. The CNA reports relevant changes in patient condition to the R.N. and/or L.V.N.
Requirements
- Graduate from high school or its equivalent.
- Current California C.N.A. certification.
- BLS certification.
- MAB certification.
Nice To Haves
- Recent experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living.
- Help promote a safe, comfortable environment that fosters patients’ physiological and psychosocial well-being.
- Notify the R.N. and/or L.V.N. of relevant changes in a patient’s condition, including changes in vital signs, level of consciousness, pain, breathing pattern, drainage, bleeding, mood, or capabilities and limitations.
