About The Position

Monterey Park Hospital is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant or Nursing Assistant for its Med/Surg Unit. This is a full-time, 12-hour day-shift position. The role reports to the Director of Med/Surg. The CNA/NA receives assignments from the Charge RN and takes direction from the RN and/or LVN. The position provides high-quality, individualized basic nursing care, taking into account patients’ age, developmental status, spiritual needs, and cultural diversity. It contributes to safe, quality nursing care and positive patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Current California Nursing Assistant Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive assignments from the Charge RN and take direction from the RN and/or LVN.
• Deliver high-quality, individualized basic nursing care.
