About The Position
Join the team as a full-time, day-shift Recovery (PACU) Registered Nurse in Harker Heights, Texas. The nurse provides continuous assessment and care for PACU patients, documents and evaluates nursing actions, maintains a safe care environment, and works with other departments to support continuity of care. Seton Medical Center Harker Heights is an 83-bed acute care hospital offering cardiology, emergency services, a Level IV Trauma Designated ER, general and orthopedic surgery, total joint replacement, gastroenterology, diagnostic services, and more. Requirements
- Complete the education required to obtain Texas Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
- Hold an RN license issued by the Texas Board of Nursing, or a current home-state license eligible for multistate recognition through the Nurse Licensure Compact.
- Obtain BLS certification within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and before providing direct patient care.
- Hold active AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification upon hire.
- Hold active Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification upon hire.
- Have at least 1 year of experience in a hospital PACU setting.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.

Responsibilities
- Use the nursing process to identify patient needs and provide continuous assessment in the PACU.
- Document nursing actions and evaluate their effectiveness.
