About The Position

Requirements

• At least 2 years of professional newsroom experience, including significant experience both anchoring and producing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
• Proficiency with newsroom computer systems such as ENPS and non-linear editing software.
• Experience with or a deep understanding of OTT/streaming platforms and digital audience engagement.
• Exceptional writing skills for conversational broadcast scripts and concise digital copy.
• Ability to work the evening shift Monday through Friday and adapt to a news schedule that may extend beyond standard business hours.

Nice To Haves

• Previous editorial leadership experience, such as Executive Producer or Managing Editor.

Responsibilities

• Produce and anchor the 10:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. newscasts.
• Lead the evening shift, provide general oversight to the night crew, and make editorial decisions to ensure coverage is accurate, fair, and timely.
• Co-anchor the 6:00 p.m. newscast.
• Anchor the planned evening streaming newscast launching in 2027.
• Drive multi-platform engagement by publishing and adapting evening coverage for social media, the station app, and streaming platforms.
• Mentor young producers and collaborate with the newsroom team.
