News Anchor - Reporter (Weekends)
About The Position
WEAR is hiring a full-time Weekend News Anchor / Reporter. The role involves anchoring and reporting, producing daily content for multiple platforms—including the internet and social networks—and performing other duties assigned by news managers. The successful candidate will know how to find and research stories, write compelling copy, and use strong storytelling and television production to make stories impactful and memorable. Dynamic live television and storytelling skills, strong writing, and knowledge of current events are important. Applicants should include a link to their online demo reel when applying.
Requirements
- Previous anchoring experience.
- At least 2 years of on-air experience.
- Live-shot experience.
- Previous experience working in a team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong writing skills and knowledge of current events.
- Ability to generate story ideas independently and demonstrate enterprise reporting and creativity in storytelling.
- Include a link to an online demo reel with the application.
Responsibilities
