About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Previous experience as a diesel mechanic or in a related heavy equipment repair role.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, vehicle systems, and mechanical repair procedures.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.

Nice To Haves

• Valid Class A or Class B commercial driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on diesel engines and equipment, including oil changes, fluid checks, and filter replacements.
• Diagnose and repair issues involving engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Conduct inspections and diagnostic testing to identify equipment concerns and determine appropriate repairs.
• Use diagnostic tools, software, and testing equipment to troubleshoot performance issues.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records for serviced vehicles and equipment.
• Complete work in compliance with company safety policies and applicable regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Communicate repair status, parts needs, and equipment conditions to supervisors and team members.
• Stay current on industry standards, technology, and best practices related to diesel repair and maintenance.
