About The Position
WIN Waste Innovations is seeking a Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic who, under supervision, repairs and maintains the company’s fleet of heavy equipment. Mechanics of all experience levels are encouraged to apply. The role offers a sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 for eligible Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanics. The position includes preventive maintenance, vehicle safety checks, service calls, and repairs identified on Vehicle Condition Reports. The mechanic also supports Lead Mechanics, maintains a clean and safe work area, completes repair-related paperwork, and helps maintain positive working relationships with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers, and management. WIN Waste Innovations is a waste management company with 2,300 employees and a vertically integrated network of collection, transfer, and disposal assets. The company processes more than 11 million tons of waste annually, converts waste into renewable energy, and recycles plastics, paper, and metals. Benefits may vary by site.
Requirements
- Equivalent of a high school diploma or G.E.D. certification.
- Valid driver license.
Responsibilities
- Performs preventive maintenance services.
- Conducts safety checks on vehicles.
- Performs service calls.
- Reviews and completes repairs identified on Vehicle Condition Reports.
- Assists Lead Mechanics as needed.
- Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA and organizational standards.
- Completes paperwork associated with repairing vehicles, documents parts usage, and accounts for applied times.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
- Maintains a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner that supports good working relationships with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers, and management.
