About The Position

The Structures Mechanic is responsible for completing assigned maintenance tasks properly and on time, in accordance with the Repair Station’s approved ratings, policies, procedures, job cards, engineering orders, maintenance manuals, and other approved documents. The role includes completing required maintenance records, supporting shift turnovers, coordinating required inspections, and properly handling components and tools. The mechanic must follow applicable manual requirements and help maintain a safe work environment. Additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Possess and maintain an adequate number and quantity of tools necessary to perform assigned tasks.
• Follow applicable maintenance documentation and Repair Station policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned tasks properly and on time in accordance with the Repair Station’s approved ratings, policies, and procedures.
• Complete all required paperwork or entries in the electronic maintenance software program for assigned tasks.
• Provide shift-turnover information to the Maintenance Lead and, when the Maintenance Lead is absent, enter the information on the NS-MF-22 form.
• Notify Inspection personnel when a task requires inspection or becomes an RII action.
• Segregate and properly identify Repair Station and customer components upon removal.
• Maintain an adequate number and quantity of tools needed to perform assigned tasks.
• Account for all tooling and return it to the proper location at the end of the shift.
• Perform assigned tasks in accordance with job cards, engineering orders, maintenance manuals, and other approved documents, without deviation unless authorized in writing.
• Understand and apply the manual chapters and sections applicable to the position.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Ensure a safe work environment.
