About The Position

The Structures Mechanic performs assigned maintenance tasks in accordance with approved Repair Station ratings, policies, procedures, job cards, engineering orders, maintenance manuals, and other approved documents. The role includes completing required maintenance paperwork or electronic system entries, communicating shift-turnover information, notifying Inspection personnel when inspections or RII actions are required, and properly handling components and tools. The mechanic is also responsible for following applicable manual requirements and maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

Complete assigned tasks properly and on time in accordance with approved Repair Station ratings, policies, and procedures.
Complete all required paperwork or entries in the electronic maintenance software program related to assigned tasks.
Provide shift-turnover information to the Maintenance Lead and enter it on the NS-MF-22 form when the Maintenance Lead is absent.
Notify Inspection personnel when a task requires inspection or becomes an RII action.
Segregate and properly identify Repair Station and customer components upon removal.
Maintain an adequate number and quantity of tools needed for assigned tasks.
Account for all tooling and return it to the proper location at the end of the shift.
Perform assigned tasks in accordance with job cards, engineering orders, maintenance manuals, and other approved documents, without deviation unless authorized in writing.
Understand and apply the manual chapters and sections relevant to the position.
Perform additional assigned duties.
Ensure a safe work environment.
