Mechanic 2nd Shift

About The Position

The Mechanic performs maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production and conveyor equipment. The role supports efficient operations by diagnosing machinery issues, completing setups and changeovers, performing preventive maintenance, and documenting results. The mechanic also coordinates with production, quality, engineering, and maintenance colleagues, helps manage spare parts, and assists with facility maintenance as needed. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:15 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Extended shifts and/or weekend work may be needed when necessary.

Requirements

Trade school certificate or associate degree.
Up to 4 years of electrical and mechanical experience.
Good communication skills.
Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, drawings, and maintenance manuals.
Ability to operate shop equipment and use hand and power tools.
Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and modern computer devices.

Responsibilities

Follow company policies and safety procedures.
Understand production machinery functions to support proper operation and troubleshooting.
Diagnose and repair production equipment, machinery, and distribution conveyor system components.
Perform machine changeovers and machinery setups as required by production.
Perform preventive maintenance on machines and equipment and document results.
Communicate machinery conditions and operational status with Operators, Supervisors, QA, Engineering, and Maintenance teams.
Assist with spare-parts and supplies inventory levels and proper storage.
Work with Engineering and Maintenance teams on machinery and equipment issues, component retrofits, and machine upgrades.
Operate forklifts and man lifts as required.
Assist with facility maintenance as required.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Work extended shifts and/or weekends when necessary.
