About The Position

Suncore Construction & Materials is seeking experienced mechanics to maintain and repair its fleet of heavy equipment and trucks. The role involves diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing heavy equipment, trucks, and diesel-powered vehicles, including engine, transmission, hydraulic, electrical, emissions, REGEN, and after-treatment systems. The mechanic also performs preventative maintenance and scheduled services, responds to field service calls and emergency repairs, maintains accurate repair records, and follows safety procedures. Multiple shifts are available: 3:00 AM–1:00 PM, 12:00 PM–10:00 PM, and 3:00 PM–1:00 AM. Mechanics must provide and maintain their own tools; the company provides a tool allowance and cell phone stipend. A take-home service truck is offered.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of diesel/heavy equipment mechanic experience.
Strong experience with diesel diagnostics and repair.
Strong experience with hydraulic systems.
Strong experience with electrical troubleshooting.
Strong experience with REGEN/emissions systems.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card.
Must provide and maintain own tools.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
Ability to work independently and safely in the field.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment, trucks, and diesel-powered vehicles.
Perform engine, transmission, hydraulic, electrical, and emissions system repairs.
Diagnose and repair REGEN and after-treatment systems.
Complete preventative maintenance inspections and scheduled services.
Respond to field service calls and emergency repairs.
Maintain accurate repair records and follow all safety procedures.
