About The Position

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Massage Therapy program
• Current Idaho Massage Therapy License (Licenses from many states can be easily transferred to Idaho)
• Current CPR/First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain)
• Enjoy working with people and creating positive guest experiences
• Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated and able to take initiative without constant direction
• Able to work independently and within a team
• Demonstrates coachability by accepting feedback professionally, applying it effectively, and continuously improving performance.
• Flexible with scheduling, including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
• Punctual, reliable, and highly organized
• Strong knowledge of massage techniques, anatomy, and contraindications
• Fluent in English. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with guests and team members.
• Ability to assess guest needs and make appropriate decisions regarding treatment techniques.
• Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive motions with hands and arms
• Regularly required to bend, stretch, reach, and move treatment tools and products
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
• Frequent use of senses including touch, vision, smell, and hearing
• Able to work in fluctuating temperatures

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in a spa, resort, or wellness setting preferred
• Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply—Spanish or other second languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of massage techniques, including but not limited to Swedish, deep tissue, sports massage and body treatments
• Greet guests and provide thorough consultations to understand needs and tailor services accordingly
• Maintain a clean, safe, and relaxing treatment environment
• Uphold professional standards in line with state licensing and spa protocols
• Educate guests about the benefits of massage and recommend aftercare or future treatments
• Assist with spa operations, including laundry, room setup, tidying up after guests, and monitoring supply levels to ensure timely reordering
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of spa protocols, massage techniques and wellness practices
• Actively promote the spa, treatments, enhancements and retail, as well as promotions and/or discounts available
• Provide excellent customer service to guests, Club members, Tamarack homeowners, and fellow team members
• Monitor schedule to keep appointments moving smoothly through the spa, via computer or mobile device
