About The Position

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all daily warehouse operations and workflow. This includes managing the receiving, inspection, organization, and distribution of materials and equipment. The role requires maintaining accurate inventory records, tracking company assets, and preparing materials for field crews. The Warehouse Manager will also coordinate logistics for truck and trailer loading/unloading, ensure the warehouse is secure and organized, and manage the check-in/check-out system for materials and equipment. Communication with vendors, reporting of damaged or missing property, and coordinating equipment repairs are also key aspects of the position. Additionally, the role involves enforcing safety procedures, training warehouse employees, and collaborating with various internal teams to support field operations. The ideal candidate will be organized, dependable, mechanically inclined, comfortable with people and inventory management, able to work independently, and committed to ensuring smooth field operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily warehouse operations and workflow
  • Receive, inspect, organize, and distribute materials and equipment
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular inventory counts
  • Track company tools, equipment, vehicles, materials, and supplies
  • Prepare materials and equipment for field crews and projects
  • Coordinate loading and unloading of trucks and trailers
  • Ensure warehouse is clean, organized, and properly secured
  • Maintain an organized system for material and equipment check-in/check-out
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate when supplies need to be reordered
  • Work with vendors and suppliers on material deliveries and shortages
  • Inspect equipment and materials for damage or missing items
  • Report damaged, lost, or missing company property
  • Coordinate equipment repairs and maintenance when needed
  • Ensure employees return tools and equipment after completing jobs
  • Maintain records of equipment assignments and employee check-outs
  • Assist with fleet and vehicle organization as needed
  • Enforce company safety procedures and warehouse safety standards
  • Ensure proper use of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment
  • Train warehouse employees on procedures, safety, and inventory control
  • Coordinate with Operations, Project Managers, and Field Supervisors
  • Help prepare new offices and warehouse locations for operations
  • Support field crews with urgent material and equipment needs
  • Maintain accurate paperwork, receiving records, and shipping documentation
  • Assist with setting up and maintaining warehouse layouts
  • Identify ways to reduce material waste, loss, and unnecessary expenses
  • Perform other warehouse and operational duties as assigned
