About The Position

The Maintenance Technician performs a range of duties, including installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining property and equipment. Maintenance Technicians ensure daily operational requirements are met to maintain optimal efficiency and exceed customer expectations. This is a work camper role, requiring the individual to live on property in their own fully contained RV. Older RVs may require approval with photos. The role involves a fast-paced hospitality environment where an 'All-Hands-On-Deck' mindset is expected, potentially requiring assistance with tasks outside of the primary job duties.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a maintenance role
  • Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
  • Good physical condition and strength
  • Must live on property and have your own RV that is fully contained (no pop-ups or conversions).
  • If RV is older than 10 years old, must get approval with photos.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems.
  • Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
  • Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
  • Willingness to work overtime.
  • A valid driver's license may be required (dependent on the property).

Responsibilities

  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain property equipment, fixtures, or mechanics.
  • Respond to management, staff, and resident maintenance requests and quickly execute the performance of requests.
  • Escort guests to their sites.
  • Help prepare the pool for opening and closing, as needed each day, including chemical testing and cleaning.
  • Perform inspections of all rental houses, buildings, and common areas.
  • Maintain tools and maintenance equipment to ensure they are in good working order; keep the maintenance room in neat condition.
  • Perform electrical, heating, and plumbing repairs, including basic electrical ability (changing outlets, fixtures, and breakers), basic HVAC knowledge of boilers and forced air furnaces, and basic plumbing (changing out faucets, re-piping, replacing toilets, replacing sinks, and unclogging drains).
  • Maintain all maintenance logs, work orders, and any other paperwork as needed.
  • Assist in the preparation of vacant rooms or houses for new guests, including carpentry work, drywall, painting, staining, and other necessary repairs and improvements.
  • Ensure the property is clean, orderly, well-manicured, and always guest-ready.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Provide regular and reliable attendance.
  • Be willing to be on call rotation for a week, once every 3 weeks for emergency calls.
