About The Position
Volunteer Properties is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support daily operations at its apartment communities. The role is responsible for maintaining the property's physical integrity and providing residents with a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment. The position is located at Grove at Hickory Valley in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Requirements
- EPA Certification or HVAC experience is required.
- At least 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in multi-family or apartment settings.
- Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliance systems.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environmental conditions.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Must provide proof of valid vehicle insurance.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and complete work orders for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repairs.
- Perform routine maintenance, including painting, drywall repair, and minor carpentry.
- Complete apartment turnovers and make-ready tasks.
- Ensure grounds, common areas, and amenities are clean and functional.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours maintenance emergencies.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used.
- Follow safety procedures and company policies.
