About The Position
Volunteer Properties is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support daily operations at its apartment communities. The role helps maintain the property's physical integrity and provides residents with a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment. The position is located at Grove at Hickory Valley, 1521 Hickory Valley Rd, Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Requirements
- EPA Certification or HVAC experience.
- At least 2 years of maintenance experience; multi-family or apartment experience is preferred.
- Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliance systems.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environmental conditions.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Must provide proof of valid vehicle insurance.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

- Maintenance experience in multi-family or apartment settings.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and complete work orders for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repairs.
- Perform routine maintenance, including painting, drywall repair, and minor carpentry.
- Complete apartment turnovers and make-ready tasks.
- Keep grounds, common areas, and amenities clean and functional.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours maintenance emergencies.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used.
- Follow safety procedures and company policies.
