About The Position

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• At least one year of experience handling mechanical service procedures for fleet maintenance activities, or graduation from mechanic trade school.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and lift, carry, push, or pull tools, equipment, and materials; ability to balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch (medium-duty labor).
• Apart from religious observances, open availability for the stated shifts seven days a week, with two consecutive days off during the week, for a 40-hour work week.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require work-authorization sponsorship now or in the future.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete vehicle maintenance inspections, including tires, brakes, and fluid levels.
• Perform preventive maintenance, including oil changes and tire rotations, according to manufacturer specifications and guidelines.
• Repair and replace tires.
• Replace wearable parts such as bulbs and wipers.
• Document repair orders accurately, including the steps taken and parts used, to maintain vehicle repair histories.
• Comply with part and inventory tracking procedures.
• Provide safe and reliable vehicles upon completion of services.
• May process new fleet vehicles, fuel reclamation, or buybacks.
• Follow procedures to comply with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Keep the work area safe and clean and comply with uniform and equipment standards.
• Improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training, and goal setting.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
