About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to learn a computer maintenance management system.
• Basic administrative and math skills.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.
• Functional knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision is desired.

Nice To Haves

• Technical school background or two years of work experience in maintenance.
• Working knowledge of a computer maintenance management system.
• Overall knowledge of manufacturing operations, procedures, and equipment.
• Previous maintenance supervision experience.

Responsibilities

• Use the CMMS and other software systems to plan and schedule maintenance work, maintain records and files, and report completed-work results.
• Maintain standard work orders for recurring repairs.
• Follow weekly preventive-maintenance and planned-work schedules, balancing work with available hours and personnel utilization.
• Coordinate with appropriate teams to confirm equipment availability before scheduling work.
• Maintain ready-to-schedule work-order packages requiring equipment shutdown for use during unscheduled shutdowns.
• Review work requests and orders to ensure scope is clearly defined; assist with identifying and procuring materials and special tools.
• Manage the work-order backlog, including orders awaiting scheduling and ready or non-ready work.
• Estimate labor, material, and total costs for each work order.
• Follow up to ensure completed schedules and work orders are returned on time.
• Review completed schedules, record appropriate comments in the database, and lead subsequent improvement conversations.
• Compare actual labor and materials used with estimates for completed jobs and identify corrective measures to improve estimating accuracy and work methods.
• Work with vendors to help execute maintenance activities.
• Follow established programs, policies, and practices to produce safe, quality foods that meet regulatory and Company requirements.
• Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of SQF Systems.
• Provide backup support for the Maintenance Planner and Parts Specialist.
• Meet Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles.
• Perform other duties assigned by the direct-report supervisor.
