About The Position

CJ Schwan’s is hiring a Maintenance Planner Scheduler for its French bread pizza plants in Erie and North East, Pennsylvania, and Westfield, New York. The position plans and schedules modifications to existing equipment and facilities, as well as preventive maintenance in assigned areas. The role prioritizes and evaluates work orders, coordinates maintenance work with originating departments, and manages work-order, scheduling, equipment-history, labor, parts, and project-cost documentation. It also schedules safety checks of micro switches and emergency stops and maintains records to meet OSHA requirements.

Requirements

• Two-year degree in a specialized trade or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of two years of related experience.
• Strong collaboration and verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Intermediate mechanical, electrical, and automation aptitude.

• SAP experience.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize work to be completed, assess work-order feasibility, and obtain approval to proceed.
• Obtain blueprints and/or electrical schematics for review.
• Organize the parts and tooling needed for maintenance work.
• Verify equipment availability for requested maintenance work.
• Use the kitting process to increase effectiveness.
• Estimate maintenance labor hours and allocate materials to work orders.
• Coordinate work with the originating department and follow up.
• Schedule preventive maintenance and maintain work-order documentation for machinery in the plant and surrounding areas.
• Maintain machinery history, parts records, and accurate records of completed work.
• Establish preventive maintenance schedules, schedule maintenance on all machinery, and recommend equipment changes.
• Maintain scheduling documentation, including completion date, time, p.m. hours, emergency hours, and project cost.
• Schedule safety checks of micro switches and emergency stops and maintain records to meet OSHA requirements.
• Maintain machinery history files, including man-hour and parts costs.
