Requirements

  • Holds current licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse/ Licensed Practical Nurse in the state where the hospital resides.
  • Current BLS certification is required.
  • Crisis management certification per hospital policy and standards required.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of inpatient behavioral health nursing experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer or House Supervisor, the Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit.
  • The Licensed Vocational Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources.
