About The Position
The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating door-to-door logistics for household goods shipments. This includes managing all aspects of the move from pickup to delivery, acting as the primary customer contact, preparing and maintaining shipment documentation, monitoring shipment progress, ensuring regulatory compliance, and tracking costs. The role requires strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Requirements
- Familiarity with GSA/ITGBL programs is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Working in a networked environment using Windows and/or Windows like interface using Microsoft Office suite such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook at a proficient level
- High school diploma or equivalent
Nice To Haves
- Two (2) years’+ of experience in logistics, transportation, moving services, or relocation coordination preferred
Responsibilities
- Coordinate door to door logistics for household goods shipments, including pickup, packing, transportation (ocean & air freight), storage, and delivery.
- Act as the main point of contact for customers, providing updates and addressing questions or concerns throughout the move process.
- Prepare, review, and maintain shipment documentation (estimates, inventories, ocean bills of lading, AWBs, delivery receipts, etc.).
- Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve delays, damages, or service issues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable transportation regulations.
- Track shipment costs.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
