About The Position
Become a key member of our Customer and Support Service Team. We provide training and this position offers great career advancement opportunities. As an Entry Level Laser Installation Technician, you will be responsible for installing laser equipment and performing PM’s on the lasers supported by MC Machinery Systems. Utilizing basic mechanical and basic electrical knowledge, you will learn how to install and set up this equipment at customer sites based on plans and drawings. As an Entry Level Laser Installation Technician, you will travel to customer sites throughout North America extensively.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of machining and manufacturing processes
- Ability to use basic hand-tools
- Ability to operate a computer with Windows operating systems
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Able to be comfortable working with heights
- Valid Driver's License
Nice To Haves
- Associates or technical degree preferred
- 1-2 years of electrical and mechanical experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Learn to perform equipment installation and verify proper operation of machines to manufacturer specifications by performing any needed tests.
- Learn to perform Preventive Maintenance on laser equipment.
- Learn to effectively document and communicate ideas, strategies, problems, and solutions in both verbal and written forms to co-workers and customers.
- Prepare written service reports and other necessary supportive documentation.
- Other duties as assigned.
