About The Position
St. Luke's Cataract & Laser Institute is seeking a full-time Surgical Scrub Technician to work at its Tarpon Springs location. The Surgical Center performs multi-subspecialty ophthalmic surgery. The technician provides necessary and appropriate equipment, instruments, and supplies during ophthalmic surgery in coordination with the surgeon, nurses, and staff. Surgical Scrub Technician experience is required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency is required.
- Surgical Scrub Technician experience is required.
- Able to work under pressure in an ever-changing environment.
- Self-motivation, patient focus, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with patients, physicians, and staff.
- Must be mobile during a surgery procedure, including walking, sitting, standing, bending, and stretching.
Nice To Haves
- A minimum of one year of experience as a surgical scrub technician in an operating room is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide necessary and appropriate equipment, instruments, and supplies during ophthalmic surgery.
- Work with the surgeon, nurses, and staff during surgical procedures.
- Perform general duties and other functions as required or assigned.
