About The Position
The Kitchen Manager will lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff, run daily Back of House (BOH) operations, and maintain high food quality standards. This role involves close collaboration with Front of House (FOH) leadership and Event Planners to execute events and service. The Kitchen Manager will be responsible for ordering inventory, verifying deliveries, controlling waste, and managing food cost. They will also write schedules based on business volume and labor budgets, enforce food safety and sanitation standards, and be hands-on in prepping, cooking, and expediting as needed. The role includes opening and closing the kitchen following daily checklists, creating weekly menu features, and assisting with special event menus. Supporting guest satisfaction by solving problems quickly and professionally is also a key aspect of this position.
Requirements
- 5+ years of high-volume kitchen experience
- 2+ years of BOH leadership (Sous Chef, Lead Line, or Kitchen Manager)
- ServSafe certified or able to obtain within 60 days
- Strong communicator, calm under pressure, team-first mindset
- Solid understanding of inventory, ordering, and kitchen organization
- Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
