In this primarily driving role, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • At least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, public concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, public areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points, observe activities at the location, and report security-related incidents, hazards, and maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
  • Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and other required records while maintaining a professional presence.
