Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location. In this primarily driving role, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. Bring integrity, reliability, and a collaborative mindset to a team that puts people first.
Requirements
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- At least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, public concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, public areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points, observe activities at the location, and report security-related incidents, hazards, and maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
- Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and other required records while maintaining a professional presence.
